There has been much speculation in the last couple of weeks over whether the NHL is losing touch with their fans in terms of the All-Star weekend.

See now, I’m a beanie addict. Since I got my dreadlocks back in August of 2014. So caps, just don’t work for me. Beanies though? I live in beanies.
This weekend sees the Coventry Blaze and Sheffield Steelers face off in two consecutive games. On Saturday in Sheffield and Sunday in Coventry at the Skydome.
With Coventry coming off a loss to the Belfast Giants, they have everything to prove against their conference rivals. With Cale Tanaka’s suspension being reduced from 3 games to just 1, it might appear that the Blaze are onto a winner with Tanaka rejoining his line mates for the game on Saturday.
Second place Steelers are looking to continue in their winning ways. Even with goaltender Marek Pinc sidelined for the foreseeable future with an injury sustained in Cardiff. Brad Day has proved himself as a more than capable replacement and it appears the team has a lot of faith in him moving into this weekends double header. They’ll also be attempting to fend of current third place team Braehead Clan, who could go ahead of them if they are successful against the Fife Flyers tonight in Braehead.
I’ll be at the game on Sunday and will give be writing my own review on the weekend’s action. This weekend is shaping up to be a fantastic one for the Elite League and I for one cannot wait!
Also coming up, a new instalment in the “two minutes with…” series!

This product is really easy to wash on a 30 degree cycle and it’s best to also tumble dry inside out on a cool setting to best preserve the design on the front of the shirt. For best results remove from the tumble straight away and hang up to allow creases to drop out. If you need to iron do it very gently and inside out, avoid the front design of possible.
I almost never iron my t-shirts and following the instructions above means ironing won’t really be necessary which will help in the longevity of your garment.
FiveOn3 pride themselves on being for every member of the hockey family and provide clothing suitable for everyone from the elite player to the smallest of fans. The garment is comfortable and easy to wear and can quite easily be dressed up or down as the situation requires. I absolutely love the vintage feel of this t-shirt and I own many other baseball style shirts with different designs on the front because I love the style of them that much. It’s a truly universal garment and looks great on anyone who wears it. I love to wear both comfortable and practical clothing and this t-shirt fits that bill wonderfully. Allowing me to be comfy and still look good.
This item and many others can be purchased from www.fiveon3.com
Rituals are a part of any sport. My own experience has shown me that no fans are quite as ritualistic as fans of hockey.
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
but the fire is so delightful,
since we’ve no place to go…
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
How about no?? Give us hockey right??
