Game Preview: Sheffield Steelers v Nottingham Panthers

Tonight, Ice Sheffield plays host to the first leg of the Challenge Cup semi finals with 2nd Place Sheffield Steelers taking on 3rd place Nottingham Panthers

The Panthers record is 4-1-0 and the Steelers have 3-2-0 in their last 5 games but tonight’s game is set to be a nail biter from the moment the puck hits the ice.

Miika Wiikman is due to start in goal for the Panthers with the rest of the lineup remaining the same as it was in Coventry on Sunday. Although not announced yet, it is believed that the Steelers will go with netminder Marek Pinc for the showdown tonight and also be keeping the same team as Sunday’s in Cardiff.

A handful of tickets are still available from the Steelers box office on 0114 242 3535 and to keep up to date with how many are left follow @steelershockey on Twitter.

The second leg will be played on Wednesday in Nottingham. Tickets are available for that clash too and can be bought in advance or on the door on the night.
