With the 2017/18 playoffs now a distant memory and many teams within the Elite League working to put together their rosters for the upcoming season the Fife Flyers have remained silent regarding their own efforts.

Throughout the 17/18 season Marr would spend much of his time on the bench as number one goal tender Andy Iles playing hot kept the Flyers pipes well guarded.

However, nearing the end of the season an injury to Iles would mean that it was up to Marr to step up and keep the Flyers successful run and playoff dreams alive which the local hero done in spectacular fashion.

On May 17th it was announced via the Peterborough Phantoms Facebook page that Marr would be taking residence between the pipes and with the goal of helping the team earn some silverware in the upcoming National Ice Hockey League season with it kicking off in September.

With the AIHL season well underway, Smith has only iced one game so far.
