Let’s take a look at the comings and goings so far since the Avalanche were knocked out the playoffs.
Firstly we have Russian born Andrei Mironov who is going back to the KHL to play for Dynamo Moskva.
We have two contract extensions.
Second round draft pick by the Carolina Hurricanes. Last season he played eight games for the Philadelphia Flyers before going down to the AHL where he played twenty three games for ten points for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
He came to Colorado and made seven appearances, next season it looks like he will start with the AHL affiliate Colorado Eagles on a two way contract. Coming up to play for the Avalanche when needed.
He was a 2009 fifth round draft pick by the Nashville Predators last year. Bourque played five times for the San Antonio Rampage then made fifty eight appearances for the Avalanche scoring five goals and getting six assists. Let’s hope he can progress to become an even better player next season.
He is a Czech international and has played all of his career in his home land, He is also a Czech extraliga champion, and he recently played at the world championships for Czech international team.
We have three forwards joining the team but they will mainly play for the AHL Colorado Eagles they are.
He has spent the last three seasons in the OHL playing a total 250 matches for 149 points that’s over half a point a game. He has also played two AHL games last season for the San Antonio Rampage but next with the Avalanche having his rights he will with the Eagles.
The young 20 year old played last year for Clarkson University. He had 40 games there for 26 points then moved to the San Antonio Rampage where he played 5 games for 2 points so next season he also will play for the Eagles.
Drafted in 2017 by the Avalanche in round 5, he has played most of his career in the MHL and KHL and he played for the Russian under 20’s last year he will also start out with the Eagles.
