The Fife Flyers have made their first announcement regarding the player roster for next season and I think every Fife Flyers fan will be very happy this morning. Please welcome back to the auld barn number 10 Evan Bloodoff.
Evan was a 6th round draft pick by the then Phoenix Coyotes in 2009. He spent 5 season in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets he scored 103 points in 280 games before moving the Portland Pirates in the AHL where he played 57 games. He then moved on the ECHL where he played for the Gwinnett Gladiators the Florida Everblades and the Reading Royals totalling 250 games and 152 points.
Then last season he made the move the Europe and the Fife Flyers Evan only managed 38 games last season in the league due to an injury in the last part of the season which meant he couldn’t play in the playoff’s either hopefully this gives Evan the fire to help the Flyers make to the playoff finals weekend again and retain the Gardiner Conference trophy. The 27 year old had this to say about his return, “I’m really happy to have re-signed for the Flyers and can’t wait to get back to Kirkcaldy and get back on the ice in preparation for the new season.”
“I’m keen to pick up on the same form I had last season and continue to help the team compete for silverware.”
“It’s a great honour to be part of the 80th anniversary team and I can’t wait to get back on the ice and play in front of the loyal Flyers fans.”
Head coach Todd Dutiaume said “As coaches we knew Evan was capable of being a force in this league, and not only did he bring the drive and work ethic we were looking for, he was also on pace to score 40 goals before his injury.”
“Evan responded well to his post season treatment and it was a priority to us as coaches to secure him as a key piece in this seasons line up.”
“Bloods will be leading the charge from the front in our conference defence in the 80th season of the Fife Flyers.”
So Fife Flyers fans bet we are all smiling today what are your thoughts on this very good re-signing.
