Cameron Burt signs for MAC Budapest!

Braehead Clan’s top scoring D-man from last season Cameron Burt will not return to the club next season, having signed for MAC Budapest in the Erste Liga.

Burt made the move from his traditional center position to the blue line when he signed for the Renfrewshire club and was a key player in John Tripp’s side.

He finished the season as the 5th highest scorer for the Clan last season, scoring 6 goals and registering 26 assists for 32 points in 54 games. Only Brendan Brooks, Adam Brace, Tyler Scofield and the Nottingham Panthers bound Jacob Doty produced more points in last seasons Clan team.

Burt will be most fondly remembered amongst Clan fans for his speed and stick handling ability, as well as his spectacular hats!

He becomes the latest player to sign up for the Erste Liga this season from the Elite League and will line up against former Clan D-men Cody Carlson and Craig Cescon, who both signed for ASC Corona Brasov in Romania.

MAC Budapest have been announced as one of Braehead’s opponents in their 2018 pre season schedule and will travel to Braehead with Burt in August.
