With KHL, USHL, QMJHL and international experience under his 22 year old belt, new signing Georgs Golovkovs looks like a solid signing for Milton Keynes.
A quick look down his stats on Elite Prospects shows a young body who has a serious amount of experience.
In his last 12 games with Latvian side Liepaja he came away with 4 goals and 15 points.
MK Head Coach Doug McKay seems positive that it’ll only be a matter of time before Golovkovs makes his mark on the ice and he hopes that it’ll be with the MK Lightning.
“He’s bounced back from past injuries and I believe he is ready to make a mark on the game, and I’m delighted to be able to give him this opportunity here in the UK. I know he will work hard to prove a point and I hope the Lightning fans will give him all their support and encouragement.”

Golovkovs has also represented his country in both the U18 competition and U20, helping Latvia scoop a silver medal in the 2014 Junior World Championships.
