Young British talent is beginning to shine at the highest level in Ice Hockey recently and now, thanks to the extended press from Liam Kirk, I am sure we can all agree the future is looking bright for our little island nation.
One of those youngsters that is one for the future is 18-year old Adam Barnes. The left handed forward spent last season playing for EHL team New England Wolves where he managed a very impressive 37 points in 48 games for the American club.
Barnes’ other accolades include representing his country alongside the aforementioned Kirk where he has been outstanding, 135 points in 57 games for the U16 team followed by 35 points in 15 games and 30 points in 10 for the U18 team.
Barnes is not one to shy away from his share of the points that is for sure!
Ryan Finnerty was happy with the pickup;
“We are happy to have Adam on board. I am looking forward to working with him this season. We have to start developing these young talents into great pros and I’m taking up the challenge. Adam will train, work out and will get valuable ice time with the two-way set up in Blackburn”
The young man himself is equally eager to suit up for the Storm;
“I’m really excited to start the season with Storm, as I have watched them play over the years and I have seen them become a great team. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and I can hope to be a part of another great season”
We look forward to seeing you represent the youth this year Adam, welcome to the Storm!
