Brits Sam Duggan and Bradley Jenion sign in NAHL

British forward Sam Duggan and defenseman Bradley Jenion have both signed in the North American Hockey League for the upcoming season.

Duggan joins from Swedish side Örebro HK and their junior system, while Jenion joins after spending last year with the South Shore Kings in the USPHL Premier league.

Earlier in the year, Duggan attended a tryout for the Lincoln Stars in the USHL, and now joins the Jamestown Rebels for his first year in North America, while Jenion joins up with the Shreveport Mudbugs in his fifth year playing in North America.

Now at 20-years-old, Sam Duggan was a product of the Bracknell junior system during his days playing hockey in the UK, and in his final year before moving to Sweden, he put up 67 points in just 15 games for Bracknells U18 team, as well as 64 points in 15 games as captain of Bracknells U16 side as well.

Duggan joins the Rebels after serving as an alternate captain for Örebro HK under 20s, putting up 10 points in 41 contesets, as well as captaining the GB Under 20 side in last years World Juniors, posting nine points in just five games.

Bradley Jenion moved on from the junior leagues of the UK back in 2014 after captaining the Nottingham Cougars in the U16 league, putting up 17 points in 14 games as a defenseman, before joining the Ontario Hockey Academy for the following two years.

Since 2016 the 6’4″ and 216lb defenseman has played in the US for the Ogden Mustangs, South Shore Kings and now the Shreveport Mudbugs.

Stephen Murphy and Colin Shields of the Belfast Giants are two previous Brits who have featured in the NAHL.
