Behind The Bench – Jez Lundin

Following on from the shocking revelation that Kevin King is a country music fan who loves the Dundee Ice Arena and the crushing disappointment of being let down by Mike Will – Once again we are Behind the Bench! (Well, the Flames ‘meet the players’ bowling night but I’d look silly changing the article name this far in…)

You may have noticed last week that there was an actual interview picture – This is because half way through the chat with Kev & Mike, a keen lady (a non-bowler who was dragging her poor boyfriend along for pictures) decided to get snap-happy. Which was great, because now I had the advantage of peer pressure as we approached unsuspecting team members for a chat!

The first victim of this mob-handed tactic was Flames stalwart, Jez Lundin, who is currently in his 10th season with the Flames.

Following on from this, I had to stop and bowl – We were getting funny looks for taking so long to finish the game (I should point out, this was not my fault! At this point the interviews were still under 2 minutes long), so the interviewing was put on hold. Once the bowling had finished and the raffle was done, it was back into the thick of it for what turned out to be some of the funniest conversations of recent times… More next week!

Oh, I nearly forgot to credit our new photographer! Here she is, with a very nice headshot photo with Corbin Baldwin
