The question on everyone’s lips is can the Avalanche bring back Lord Stanley’s Cup for a third time?
I have to say, so far this season the Colorado Avalanche have been playing some unreal hockey. They have two number one goalies. Philipp Grubauer – backup for the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup winning team last season and the other of course, is Semyon Varlamov.
This year the top line has just exploded. MacKinnon, Rantanen and Landeskog have one hundred and eighteen points combined – that’s more than some entire teams have combined and with the 2nd line and 3rd line helping out.
After beating the Predators and the six goals to three win over the Penguins, seven wins in their nine games, the Avalanche sit second in the conference and division with the Predators in first by only two points in the West.
The question Avalanche fans and fans across the league are asking is; Can the Avalanche go all the way and for the third time in their history and win the Stanley Cup?
At the moment on current form a lot of people would say yes. I would also say they have a chance, but there is a long way to go and guys will have cold spells and if we have injuries then obviously you would think not.
So Avalanche fans what are your thoughts on our chances to lift the cup?
