Clay Anderson leaves the Lightning

It had been announced via the teams twitter account that Clay Anderson has decided to return to the US, with immediate effect.

According to the website Anderson has been struggling to acclimatise to life in the UK and has asked he be released from his contract. The Lightning has agreed.

Team owner Graham Moody commented, โ€œWe wish Clay all the best for the future and he leaves with our thanks for his efforts in the first half of the season. Obviously losing a player at this stage isnโ€™t ideal but our player-coaches, Tim Wallace and Ryan Lannon, continue to work hard to strengthen the team as we push for a play-off place.”

Quote taken from MK Lightning website.

We at Chasing the Puck wish Clay all the best in the future.
