The GB internationalist’s Allsvenskan side Leksands IF tonight confirmed that he would be leaving the club with immediate effect after the game this evening, and few doubted that he will be heading back to the home comforts that is the Elite League. So what next?

After first being reported on CTP earlier today, it can now be confirmed British defencemen Ben O’Connor has left Allsvenskan side Leksands IF this evening. The decision has been made for family reasons and a return to the Elite League may well be eminent. A report out of Sweden claims that former Sheffield Steelers defenseman Ben O’Connor could be leaving Leksand IF of the Allsvenskan this weekend.
A report from Expressen.se claims the 29-year-old is set to play one more game for Leksands before returning back to the UK after the game against Västerås on Friday night, with the publication stating it is due to “private reasons”, while also referencing he left practice early on Tuesday.
Another publication from Dalademokraten.se also states O’Connor left the teams practice early on Tuesday potentially due to injury, but does not appear to make reference to him leaving the club.
