Following a couple of notable departures recently, the Coventry Blaze have announced a new arrival in 28-year-old Swedish forward Thom Flodqvist.
After spending most of his career to date in his home country of Sweden, the forward who can play both down the middle or on the wing joins from Allsvenskan side Södertälje SK on loan for the remainder of the season.
At 5’10” and 185lbs, he’s not a big body but he plays an energetic game that should allow him to be noticed almost immediately when he eventually makes his Blaze debut.

Nottingham Panthers confirm the signing of 25 year old Canadian forward and release Van Kleef.
Dylan Richard a 25 year old 6’1″ Edmonton native Forward has been signed by Rich Chernomaz for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.
Richard has played 24 games this term for HK Nitra of Slovakia, gaining 4 goals and 6 assists, scoring 10 points in total.
The previous season he played for Mangerlud of the Norwegian league. This being his first professional contract. He had a fairly productive season in Scandinavia playing 43 games scoring a respectable 22 goals, 16 assists, scoring 38 points.
Before signing in Norway he was a student at the Penn State University in Pennsylvania and played for them over 4 seasons.
Fans should be able to see him in his first game for Panthers as we play Guildford this Saturday.
Tyler Van Kleef had been on a weekly contract but this has been cancelled after the new arrival.

The Cardiff Devils have added to their defensive ranks with the signing of 6’1” blue liner Drew Schiestel, after he spent time with EBEL side Medvescak Zagreb and Lørenskog of Norway.
Schiestel joins the Devils following their four-point weekend with wins over the Nottingham Panthers and Dundee Stars, and bolsters a defensive unit that has seen a couple of blows with the loss of Andrew Hotham over the summer, as well as Tom Parisi and Ben Blood leaving the side since the start of the new season.
